The Restaurant Helmer in Schwangau is furnished in a rustic and cozy fashion. You can savor our delicious dishes in a pleasant atmosphere. Whether breakfast, afternoon coffee, an à la carte meal, 3-course evening menu, or delicacies in between. Healthy, wholesome dishes or hearty AllgÀu cuisine - our kitchen team knows how to prepare both.
Whether in the spacious dining room, the rustic beer parlor, or in the cozy warmth of the fireplace parlor, every guest here will find a favorite place. Whenever the weather permits, we also serve all meals and drinks outside on our beautiful summer terrace.

Let our restaurant team pamper you with fresh, regional products, and ingredients as well as meat, sausage, and eggs from our own farm. We get our calves from Schwangau farmers and let them grow up to 3 years on our own meadows and in our stables. Agriculture relaunched
Agriculture has been a tradition in our family for generations, and now it is gaining importance, as regional products, short distances, and high-quality products have become the talk of the town.
Our juniors Benedikt and Magnus have been keeping chickens in mobile stables since the spring of 2020. They get to enjoy a fresh meadow every week. We are proud to be able to offer our guests our own eggs at breakfast. Ask them where the stables are currently located, you are welcome to visit the chickens at any time. BREAKFAST â THE START TO YOUR DAY
At breakfast, we serve coffee and tea at your table. Bread and rolls from the castle bakery, spreads, yogurt, juices, and much more are available for you at the buffet. We serve breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
COFFEE & CAKE â IN THE AFTERNOON
We serve freshly prepared coffee specialties and homemade cakes and strudel to our guests daily from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Whether outside on the terrace or inside in the warm parlor, you can look forward to this moment of indulgence in the afternoon.
FESTIVE NEW YEAR'S EVE MENU - LET US SPOIL YOU
On New Year's Eve, we offer our guests a very special menu. Starting with an amuse-bouche, delicate cold and warm starters, a soup, and a tasty main course, the menu is rounded off with dessert and petit fours. You can find the menu here. In our restaurant, guests can choose from classic dishes, Bavarian specialties, and game dishes from local hunts. We recommend wines from German vineyards, beers directly from the Schwangau castle brewery, and, to round off your meal, a shot or distillate from the Schroll distillery.

If you book your stay at Hotel Helmer with half board, you can look forward to a sumptuous 4-course menu in the evening, prepared with tasty ingredients from the AllgÀu region and always with a vegetarian option. We serve your half-board menu daily from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
